Montelores Catholic Community Parish-wide Eucharistic Revival Sessions

Dear brethren in Christ, we just can’t wait to share this with you. The Montelores Catholic Community had a Parish-wide Eucharistic Revival Sessions on Saturday November 2, 9am – 3:30pm. Guest speaker was Professor Lucas Pollice from the Diocese of Colorado Springs. The presentation was so enriching and enlightening. Here is some feedback which are really inspiring:

It was a great experience attending the Eucharistic Revival Day teaching at St Margaret Mary in Cortez. We covered all parts of the Mass and how every word has biblical reference and meaning: as relevant now as when Jesus formed the Church. It brings life to the liturgy and prayers of the Mass by better understanding the sacrifice given during the Eucharist in every Mass. I love the Mass but this has truly changed how I participate more fully in every part of the Mass. Thank you for this teaching. As a lifelong Catholic I thought I understood, but this has clarified it more beautifully than I can explain.

On November 2, 2024, Father Soosai, HGN, hosted a parish-wide Eucharistic Revival Day for the Montelores Catholic Community at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Catholic Church in Cortez, Colorado. Guest speaker, Professor Lucas Pollice of the Diocese of Colorado Springs, gave bible-based explanations of the Catholic liturgy and the significant portions of the holy Mass. More than 70 parishioners attended. Pollice explained the liturgy as “the summit toward which the activity of the Church is directed. . . and we come together to praise God, take part in the sacrifice [of the Mass] and to eat the Lord’s supper.” We learned to fully participate with the priest as informed, active members.

I am blessed and thankful to have had the opportunity to attend the Parish Eucharistic Revival Session that was held for the Montelores Catholic Community by Professor Lucas Pollice. The presentation of each part of the Holy Mass and the meaning and significance of it to the Bible and God's teaching was presented on a level that was easy to understand and follow.  It was a great refresher session and added information to the "Biblical Walk Through The Mass" workshop held in our parish last year.  When the session was completed and I left to attend the 4:00PM mass in my parish church I was so filled with love of the Holy Eucharist and a deeper understanding of the Paschal Mystery.   A Great Presentation.  Thank you.

My husband and I attended the Eucharistic Revival session led by Lucas Pollice. He was very knowledgeable and dynamic. His talks were centered on the different parts of the Eucharist and how together these parts lead us to become closer to Jesus. From this session I was able to come away with a deeper understanding of the wonderful gift we are given by the sacrifice of Jesus. Lucas also spoke about our mission as Catholics to bring our love of Jesus into the world.  This helped me to see how I should be living as a Catholic so people will see how wonderful it is to be Catholic.

Last Saturday I attended our Parish Eucharistic Revival Day at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Catholic Church, Cortez. As a fairly new catholic, I appreciated the depth of these sessions presented by Professor Lucas Pollice. I also enjoyed sharing within our small group as we went through the sessions. This was an excellent opportunity to further my understanding of the Mass. I feel it is important to take advantage of all the educational opportunities provided by our Diocese and Parish.
