Testimonies: Fruits of the Convocation - Post #5

Updated: Aug 10, 2022

At the age of 66, I am a new Catholic, having joined the Church one year ago. Although, I have attended church all my life, I instantly felt at home in the Catholic Church. This feeling was felt even more at my first convocation.

Never before have I been a part of a large group who openly discussed their faith and the challenges facing us as Catholics in today’s world. We were asked to pray in our small groups and then discuss the ideas given to us by the Holy Spirit as to how to meet these challenges. It was eye opening to recognize the direction given us if we but listen for the answers to our prayers.

I came away from that weekend with a desire to begin the work asked of us by the bishop and resolution to never miss a convocation. I have encouraged more members of our parish to attend next year.
