Jim And Joe Koncilja presented Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish with a statue of their patroness, which will soon stand high up over the front door on the outside of Mount Carmel church. The statue is given in memoriam of their aunt, Rose Paglione Merril, who was a parishioner at Mount Carmel 100 years ago.

The hand painted statue, which was made in Columbia, came to Mount Carmel from Columbia via Miami to Pueblo. The statue arrived in Pueblo two weeks before the Parish festival was slated to begin.
Fr. Don Malin, Pastor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, will bless the statue before it is installed in the niche. This niche has awaited this adornment for over 100 years. The new statue will receive a worthy expression of devotion to Our Lady of Mount Carmel, the patroness of the parish.
